Google Expands AI Travel Tools Globally

Google is rolling out a wider set of AI-powered travel features in Search, including the global expansion of Flight Deals, new trip-planning tools with Canvas in AI Mode, and broader access to agentic booking.

Global Flight Deals. The AI tool, previously limited to the U.S., Canada, and India, is now available in more than 200 countries and territories with support for over 60 languages. Users can describe their ideal trip and see automatically generated low-fare options.

AI Trip Planning with Canvas. U.S. desktop users opted into AI Mode can now generate full travel plans inside Canvas using real-time data from Google Flights, Hotels, Maps, and the broader web, with the option to refine routes, hotel tradeoffs, and activity choices.

Agentic Booking for More Users. Google is expanding AI Mode’s booking capabilities to all U.S. users, enabling automated searches across reservation platforms for restaurants, events, and appointments based on detailed preferences.

What’s Next. Google plans to let users book flights and hotels directly in AI Mode, with side-by-side comparisons of schedules, prices, amenities, and reviews.

Google’s latest updates signal a push toward full AI-powered trip planning, from price discovery to itinerary building to end-to-end booking.
