Strategy Now Holds $68B Bitcoin

Strategy, the largest corporate holder of bitcoin, has purchased US$49.9 million in bitcoin, bringing its total to 641,692 coins valued at over US$68 billion. The company tapped new financing tools to fund the acquisition.
Capital Strategy. Strategy used its STRC “Stretch” preferred stock ATM program for the first time, raising $26.2 million. The rest came from STRF “Strife” preferred share sales.
Market Reaction. Shares rose 3.2% in premarket trading as bitcoin climbed above US$106,000.
Funding Context. The move highlights the firm’s limited traditional financing options due to its lower share price, prompting reliance on preferred equity to fuel continued bitcoin accumulation.
Industry Lens. Corporate bitcoin holdings now exceed 1 million BTC globally, with treasury-focused fintech and custody tools emerging to support compliance and accounting needs.
If the trend continues, corporate treasuries could become a major structural force in crypto market demand and infrastructure growth.
